Our client in the restaurant industry requires the services of a Executive Chef to join their team at their recently acquired property.
Key performance areas
- Lead kitchen operations, quality, and food safety
- Manage costs, suppliers, and kitchen team
- Develop the menu, concept, and guest experience
- Drive innovation (menus, events, functions)
The successful candidate must have
- Matric with a Culinary Arts/ Chef qualification
- Must have at least 3-4 years’ experience as an experienced Head Chef / Executive Chef / Senior Sous Chef
- Previous experience with corporate clients, functions or hotel/lodge environments will be advantageous
- Strong background in cost control and kitchen management
- Must have a creative, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mind-set
- Must be comfortable to operate in a partnership/profit-share environment
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport
