Our client in the restaurant industry requires the services of a Executive Chef to join their team at their recently acquired property.

Key performance areas

  • Lead kitchen operations, quality, and food safety
  • Manage costs, suppliers, and kitchen team
  • Develop the menu, concept, and guest experience
  • Drive innovation (menus, events, functions)

The successful candidate must have

  • Matric with a Culinary Arts/ Chef qualification
  • Must have at least 3-4 years’ experience as an experienced Head Chef / Executive Chef / Senior Sous Chef
  • Previous experience with corporate clients, functions or hotel/lodge environments will be advantageous
  • Strong background in cost control and kitchen management
  • Must have a creative, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Must be comfortable to operate in a partnership/profit-share environment
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport
