We’re Hiring: SHEQ Officer
Xenia Pharmaceutical is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SHEQ Officer to support and strengthen our Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and Compliance systems across our veterinary pharmaceutical operations.
Working closely with the SHEQ Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and integrity.
Key focus areas
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including QMS, FSMS, and OH&S systems
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, GMP+ FSA, FSSC 22000, ISO standards, and veterinary pharmaceutical requirements
- Participate in internal audits, supplier audits, and compliance assessments to ensure audit readiness
- Support external audits, regulatory inspections, and certification processes
- Assist with supplier approval processes, supplier performance monitoring, and compliance checks
- Contribute to risk assessments, hazard identification, and food/feed safety evaluations
- Support the investigation of incidents, deviations, and non-conformances, including CAPA implementation
- Assist in maintaining document control systems, regulatory records, and compliance reporting
- Promote workplace safety initiatives, environmental compliance, and sustainability practices
- Support SHEQ training programmes and drive awareness across the organisation
- Monitor and report on SHEQ performance indicators and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Degree or diploma in Safety, Quality Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in a SHEQ, quality, or compliance-related role
- Working knowledge of FSSC22000/ISO22000, ISO9001 standards, and regulatory requirements within veterinary pharmaceutical under Act 36. or related industries will be beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Auditing, risk assessment, and compliance experience will be advantageous
- High level of integrity and commitment to quality and safety standards
