Duties

  • Prepare and review Annual Financial Statements and stakeholder reporting packs.
  • Oversee and manage the Treasury function, ensuring effective cash flow and financial controls.
  • Manage the administration of Fixed Assets and Work-in-Progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Provide support during Internal and External (Statutory) audits, including preparation of required documentation.
  • Prepare, maintain, and reconcile financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Support the interpretation and application of accounting standards, offering guidance to relevant stakeholders.

Job Experience & Skills Required

Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Financial / Management accounting (articles completed)
  • CA(SA) Qualification is essential

Experience

  • 1 - 3 years’ post-articles experience in a relevant finance or accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, and corporate taxation.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with experience in JDE considered an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance
  • Experience in cash flow management, budgets, and forecasts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Draftworx/Epicor an advantage
  • Understanding of IFRS for SMEs and related regulations
  • Excellent diligence, problem-solving, and time management
  • Effective communication skills and professional integrity
