SUMMARY
A leading packaging and manufacturing organisation is seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join its structured development programme. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across production, maintenance, and engineering functions, with the aim of developing into a fully competent Engineer within the organisation.
This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate who is eager to build technical, operational, and project management capability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured engineering development and training programme.
- Assist with production and maintenance engineering activities across plant operations.
- Support process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting on equipment and process performance.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues.
- Support engineering projects, including installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Learn and apply safety, quality, and environmental standards within operations.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Work closely with senior engineers, technicians, and production teams.
- Rotate through different departments to gain broad operational exposure.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng/BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- No or limited post-graduate experience required (0–2 years preferred).
- Strong academic performance and willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.
- Basic knowledge of CAD, process systems, or industrial equipment will be advantageous.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
