SUMMARY

A well established manufacturing concern is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and detail oriented Quality Control Manager to lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control processes within facility. The ideal candidate to have a strong background in manufacturing, automotive and technical processes, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and ensure products meet the required standards.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • B-Tech degree in Quality Management or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment. (automotive or metal industry preferred)
  • Strong background in systems and processes.
  • Good technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
  • Experience with ISO standards and other relevant quality management systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and solution driven.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in conducting internal and supplier audits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards
  • Audit the Company’s Quality Management System and compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
  • Ensure all products meet internal specifications and customer requirements
  • Oversee inspection and testing processes throughout production
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct and manage internal quality audits
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
  • Manage external audits and customer quality requirements
  • Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
  • Manage quality personnel and oversee daily quality control operations
  • Investigate non-conformance and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments
  • Monitor product defects on a continuous basis
  • Control the return and assessment of quality complaints from customers
  • Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
  • Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
