Our client, in the Medical Equipment Sales Industry, is looking for an Electrical/ Biomedical Field Service Technician to join their team based in Centurion. This role includes the installation, servicing, repair, and technical support of medical equipment, including surgical lighting systems, patient hoists and related devices. The ideal candidate will be reliable, and self-driven, with the ability to work alone. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, professional communication and high attention to detail and quality.

Required Qualifications & Working Knowledge

• National Diploma (N6) or equivalent in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics/ Biomedical Engineering
• 0 – 5 years experience in medical servicing or electrical/ electronic repair environments
• Experience with surgical lights, operating tables, patient monitors or similar equipment will be advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Knowledge of electronic components, PC boards, and system diagnostics
• Experience with installation and maintenance of technical equipment

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain medical equipment at client sites
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical and electronic devices
• Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections
• Record technical faults and complete service documentation
• Technical administrative recording and data management
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
• Conduct user training and demonstrations for healthcare staff
• Support product upgrades and new equipment rollouts
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 quality and safety standards
