SAP Authorisations Expert

We’re looking for an experienced

SAP Authorisations Specialist to take ownership of role design, access governance, and support operation, keeping systems secure, compliant, and running smoothly across the board.

POSITION INFO

Essential Skills

• 5–10 years SAP Authorisation experience across modules (FICO focus)
• Strong experience with S/4HANA and Fiori (Launchpad, Spaces & Pages)
• Deep understanding of Role Design, User Admin & Segregation of Duties
• Expert in SAP trace analysis & troubleshooting (Gateway logs, etc.)
• Solid experience in Applications Operations support
• Excel skills that go beyond SUM (formulas a must!)
• Comfortable working independently and under pressure

Role & Responsibilities

• Building and refining SAP roles (new + changes) with governance in mind
• Acting as the go-to for 2nd line support on complex authorisation issues
• Troubleshooting using SAP traces, logs, and Gateway analysis
• Supporting project releases with secure and compliant access models
• Partnering with teams to design smart, scalable access solutions
• Monitoring, resolving, and preventing security incidents
• Helping users understand “the why” behind SAP access (not just the fix)

Must Haves (Non-Negotiable)

• Proven track record in role design and SAP access governance
• At least 3 full SAP project implementations
• Strong grasp of system landscapes and compliant provisioning
• Hands-on experience with transport management (CALM)
• Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex auth issues fast
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 2 weeks at a time)

Qualifications

• SAP Experience (5 – 10 Years) K3/4 (Authorisation specific)
• SAP Authorization in all modules. (Strongest focus on FICO).
• Strong experience in Applications Operations
• MS Excel (Strong Formula knowledge)
• Good understanding of system landscape to design adequate and governance compliant to secure role design and user provisioning.
• Proven experience roles design and support within a SAP environment.
• Good problem-solving capabilities are necessary to investigate and propose alternate solutions for compliance conflicts.
