Product Owner

My client based in Cape Town (North) is currently looking for a Product Operations Lead to join them on a permanent basis (4 day in office)

We are seeking a Product Operations Lead to drive operational excellence across our product portfolio. This pivotal role ensures smooth execution, customer-facing stability, and alignment with business goals, while leading a team of Business Analysts and operations professionals.

• What You'll Do
• Shape Vision & Outcomes
• Align product goals with business objectives and performance metrics
• Communicate product vision clearly across teams and stakeholders
• Ensure customer-facing components deliver agreed business outcomes
• Safeguard Stability
• Identify and escalate risks early to prevent disruption
• Maintain SLA adherence and implement corrective actions when needed
• Propose mitigations to ensure operational stability
• Lead BA & Ops Teams
• Mentor and guide Business Analysts and operations staff
• Drive high-quality requirements and effective cross-functional handoffs
• Triage and resolve operational escalations impacting customers
• Analyze recurring issues and implement preventative solutions
• Engage Stakeholders
• Collaborate across business, IT, and product teams
• Build trust and facilitate decision-making
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide concise updates on SLA performance and operational risks

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 plus relevant IT or Business Administration degree/diploma
• Certified Product Owner (CPO) highly beneficial
• Minimum 5 years in product operations, delivery, or product ownership
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments preferred
