Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Johannesburg for a Laboratory Technician specialising in Geotechnical and Soil Testing. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting precise geotechnical and soil tests, adhering to quality control protocols, documenting test results, and collaborating with the technical team to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Laboratory Equipment operation and maintenance (The candidate will be required to undergo a practical interview)
• Experience in Quality Control processes and adherence to industry standards (ISO 17025 knowledge is a must)
• Strong Analytical Skills and attention to detail
• Expertise in Laboratory Skills related to geotechnical and soil testing
• Practical experience as a Laboratory Technician in civil or geotechnical fields
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Understanding of safety protocols and laboratory best practices
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in geotechnical or soil testing will be an advantage
