Overview

Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Representative to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive sales growth within the industrial sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the successful execution of client agreements while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Research and identify potential clients within target markets.
  • Coordinate with internal sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts and agreements are executed as agreed.
  • Gather and analyze useful information from customers to support business growth.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the Industrial and Sales environment.
  • Must reside in Gauteng.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings.
  • Proficient in English (speak, read, and write).

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Proven business-to-business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Familiarity with the industrial sector and related products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-focused.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
