Commercial Secretary – Tax Department

Salary: Starting from R500 000 CTC per annum (negotiable based on experience)
A vacancy is available for a Commercial Secretary within the Tax Department.
This is a demanding role requiring exceptional organisational ability, strong attention to detail, excellent document management skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including diary and email management, correspondence handling, and preparation of professional communications.
- Manage telephone calls, messages, and general administrative requirements.
- Coordinate local and international travel arrangements, including itineraries, documentation, and accommodation.
- Assist with client onboarding processes and ensure accurate completion of required documentation.
- Support internal submissions, reports, and administrative processes across relevant practice areas.
- Draft, format, amend, and proofread professional documents and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate filing systems, records, registers, and document tracking processes.
- Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute relevant documentation.
- Assist with document preparation, typing, and formatting requirements.
- Support billing administration, including preparation of client accounts and accurate time recording.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and professional materials as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Secretary.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of FileSite would be advantageous.
- Matric essential.
- Strong document formatting and proofreading skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
