Our client in theAgricultural Commodities , requires the services of a Logistics Coordinator with strong financial administrative skills to join their team. The successful candidate will provide support in handling various purchases, sales, and freight of commodities.

Key performance areas

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily and customer/management reports
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Coordinate invoicing and inventory control for assigned loads
  • Maintain communication with assigned customer accounts
  • Capture and manage data for all customer orders and loads
  • Resolve customer queries related to loads
  • Manage accounts receivable and resolve related issues
  • Provide sales and accounting support as required
  • Perform general administrative duties
  • Reconcile debtors and creditors
  • Manage truck check-ins and ensure compliance with contract specifications
  • Coordinate loading and offloading instructions and arrangements
  • Liaise with carriers and suppliers to schedule operations
  • Facilitate communication between customers and suppliers
  • Manage contracts
  • Collect weighbridge slips as required
  • Update management reports and tracking sheets
  • Send debtor statements, monitor payments, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Conduct monthly Nedbank audits
  • Follow up on debtor, creditor, and carrier applications
  • Manage PODs as required

The successful candidate must have

  • Matric and degree in Accounting / Administration would be advantageous
  • Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Must have prior experience with accounts receivable or collections
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a trading environment preferred, or 4 years in a business environment
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact well with others
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong customer service commitment
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport
