Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in Stellenbosch. This role is suited to a detail-driven professional who enjoys translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and supporting the delivery of payment-focused solutions within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and reporting requirements
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and documentation
  • Maintain business analysis documentation, workflows, and procedures
  • Support project delivery, backlog grooming, and stakeholder alignment
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation of deliverables
  • Manage requirement changes and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 3–5 years’ business analysis experience
  • Strong understanding of the payments environment (retail, banking, EFT, settlement, acquiring, etc.)
  • Experience working with documentation and structured analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Jira, Confluence, Draw.io, and Visio
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport
  • Strong command of business English

Advantageous:

  • BABOK or PMBOK certification or exposure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Experience in fast-paced, multi-project environments
  • Exposure to digital payment systems or financial services environments
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI tools in analysis processes
