Manufacturing Engineer (Process and Design)

Our client seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. In this role you will analyze and design simple to moderately complex manufacturing and assembly processes and tools, and troubleshoot process deficiencies.

The role focuses on maximizing efficiency and cost savings through the evaluation of equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization. It also involves identifying the parts and tools required to meet manufacturing objectives in accordance with product specifications.

Must have a completed National Diploma – Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, at least 2 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer including experience analyzing and creating manufacturing processes that increase quality, cost and efficiency, knowledge of manufacturing processes, concepts, practices and procedures as well as knowledge of modern flow manufacturing methods and techniques used in a fast-paced assembly environment and the ability to design and build jigs and fixtures.

Proficiency in MS Office, engineering related computer systems/applications or equivalent, proficiency in using CAD and drafting software such as ProE, AutoCAD or SolidWorks is essential.
