We are seeking a commercially driven

Business Development Specialist to grow a specialist fleet and mobility solutions portfolio.

This role focuses on acquiring new clients within vehicle-dependent industries, offering solutions across fleet finance, mobility optimisation, vehicle risk management, and tracking/telematics services.

We are open to candidates from vehicle finance, fleet insurance, telematics, asset finance, or mobility-related industries, where they have developed a strong understanding of how commercial vehicles are funded, managed, and optimised within business operations.

This is a high-impact, consultative role combining new business development, solution selling, and end-to-end deal ownership.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within fleet, mobility, and asset-intensive sectors
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, suppliers, and digital channels

Commercial Sales & Solution Selling

  • Present tailored fleet finance and mobility solutions to prospective clients
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, and procurement

Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and sales reporting

Proposal & Credit Structuring

  • Prepare and present structured credit applications and commercial proposals
  • Collaborate with internal credit and risk teams

Client Onboarding & Growth

  • Oversee onboarding and implementation of new clients
  • Ensure smooth transition into operational fleet solutions

Channel & Partner Development

  • Build relationships with OEMs, dealers, insurers, and telematics providers
  • Leverage partner ecosystems for referral-driven growth

Revenue Expansion

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across product and service offerings

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or related field (advantageous)
  • 5+ years’ experience in vehicle finance, fleet insurance, telematics, mobility services, or related industries
  • 3+ years’ proven experience in B2B business development or commercial sales with target achievement
