The PPS Technical Marketing Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development and launching of PPS Insurance risk products. You will support actuarial investigations, assist in product design processes, contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing products and support distribution teams by developing targeted communications to enhance product knowledge among distribution teams.

This position is well-suited for individuals eager to develop their actuarial skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Matric?

Completed university degree majoring in Actuarial Science (Honours preferred)?

Making good progress with actuarial exams, preferably with most A1 and A2 subjects completed?

Knowledge and skills

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel?

Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Python, or Prophet is advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with actuarial investigations, including experience studies and associated reporting?

Support the development and testing of actuarial pricing models

Analyse PPS data to inform product development decisions and support broader business functions?

Contribute to the creation of calculators and dashboards

Assist in competitor research, including product comparisons

Provide actuarial input into strategic projects as and when required?

Respond to product-related queries and help manage the Technical Marketing inbox?
