SUMMARY

Our client, a leading automotive company based in Kariega, is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join their team.

POSITION INFO

Duties

• Maintain, repair, and service tools used in production.
• Set up and operate conventional lathes, milling machines, surface grinders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD files for tooling
• Conduct measurements and inspections using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and
• correct problems.
• Collaborate with design, production, and maintenance teams to ensure tools
• meet production needs.
• Modify tooling for efficiency improvements and design enhancements.
• Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance and usage.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure all tools comply with health and safety

Qualification

• A relevant trade qualification in Toolmaking, Precision Engineering and/or related
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a toolmaker role.
• 3-5 Years Experience in a Toolmaker role.

Requirements

• Proficient in reading technical drawings.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Good computer skills.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Flexibility – able to work shifts and overtime when needed.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Understanding of manufacturing and machining principles
