Our client, a well-established and nationally recognised organisation within the equipment and operational services sector, is looking to appoint a driven and technically strong

Group Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities

• Perform group consolidations and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and franchise operations
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts for group entities and branches
• Manage group, franchise, and entity reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Support month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and adherence to reporting deadlines
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of financial information
• Assist with annual financial statements and provide support during audit processes
• Analyse financial performance, identifying variances and providing meaningful insights
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and internal controls
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance reporting efficiencies and financial processes
• Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and group finance projects

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Accounting (or equivalent) is essential
• CA(SA) qualification is highly advantageous
• Minimum of 1 year post-articles experience
• Exposure to group reporting, consolidations, or multi-entity environments is beneficial
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting skills
• High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive mindset
