Job Title: Systems Analyst

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for interpreting business requirements and translating them into detailed system design specifications. The role supports the development of effective, flexible, and efficient technology solutions by ensuring requirements, documentation, and solution designs are clear, complete, and aligned.
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Analyse and document business and system requirements in a clear and structured manner.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical design specifications.
- Create and maintain documentation such as functional specifications, system requirements, technical specifications, impact assessments, and design documents.
- Ensure use cases, services, mappings, and system documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Support solution design discussions, JAD sessions, project meetings, and review sessions.
- Produce API documentation where applicable, including service definitions and integration details.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, testers, architects, and project teams.
- Ensure documentation remains aligned with changing requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Degree in IT, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of systems analysis, solution design, and requirements documentation.
- Exposure to development languages such as Java and/or C#.
- Experience with UML, sequence diagrams, context diagrams, and low-level design documents.
- Understanding of integration patterns, including APIs, SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, queues, and batch processing.
- Ability to read and write SQL.
- Experience creating Functional Specification Documents and related system documentation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Mandatory Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the FinTech industry.
- Regional experience, including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation); fluency in Arabic is nice to have.
Preferred Skills
- The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
- Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
- An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
