Aurik Enterprise Development is looking to employ a Business Development Executive.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with corporate sales experience that's creative and wanting to further his/her career. The individual needs to be target driven, have the ability to learn quickly and effectively, as the product is specialised and comprehensive.

You would be selling into corporates and big business specifically to individuals responsible for Company Corporate Affairs, Transformation and performance on the B-BBEE scorecard specifically relating to Enterprise Development, Preferential Procurement and Corporate Social Investment. Your understanding and current relationships within these areas will be an added advantage.

What the role entails

Pre-Sales

• Planning and executing sales interventions

• Generating leads for potential sales

• Qualifying leads for sales execution

• Conducting extensive research into customers in order to determine the best solution to offer clients

• Presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential clients

• A highly consultative sales role in order to develop the best solution for clients

• The ability to determine the decision maker in the sales process and develop a solution that is conducive to closing the deal

• Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets

Sales

• Conducting meetings with all levels within the business including C-Suite executives

• Conducting in depth needs analyses in order to determine the best solution to meet their needs

• Occasional Board presentations

• Identifying sales prospects and contacting these (cold calling)

• Preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts

• Negotiating deals with clients and being highly persuasive with a goal to close the deal

Relationship Management

• Establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships

• Identifying and resolving client concerns

General

• Developing and maintaining product knowledge

• Preparing paperwork to activate and maintain contract services

• Reporting on sales schedules, activities and planned actions

• Participating in marketing events & network opportunities

• Reporting on competitor activity

• Capturing data into the CRM system and maintaining the integrity of the data through all contact points with clients and leads

• Working as part of a team

What you need to bring

A desire to impact the growth of SME businesses in South Africa

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in a sales environment with a track record of closing high value deals

• Valid Code 8 driver's license essential with own reliable vehicle

• Advanced knowledge of PC use and Proficiency in MS Office

• Experience in the business development and transformation industry will be an added bonus
