About The Role
We're looking for economists with public policy experience to help shape how AI understands and reasons about the real world. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making these systems more accurate, rigorous, and genuinely useful.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role powered by Alignerr and Labelbox, two leaders in AI development and data labeling. Work on your own schedule while contributing to one of the most consequential technology challenges of our time.

What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated economics questions, explanations, and policy analyses for accuracy and rigor
- Assess economic reasoning across areas like regulation, welfare policy, public programs, and fiscal policy
- Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve the clarity, depth, and real-world relevance of AI outputs
- Validate scenarios, conclusions, and tradeoffs using your applied economics background
- Work independently and asynchronously — on your schedule, at your pace
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public policy, applied economics, or a related field
- Strong command of policy analysis, economic tradeoffs, and evidence-based reasoning
- Able to critically assess written economic arguments, recommendations, and frameworks
- Skilled at providing clear, constructive written feedback
- Self-directed and comfortable managing your own workflow
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline
- Professional experience in government, think tanks, academic research, or policy consulting
- Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or data annotation workflows
