22 Petrol Station Cashier

We are looking for 22 dedicated staff who can work under pressure and deliver exceptional customer experience for a fuels only site (no quickshop)

Duties & Responsibilities

1) Customer service 

• Greet customer's politely and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Assist customers with inquiries about products, fuel and service.
• Maintain a professional and helpful attitude at all times.

2) Cash Handling 

• Operate the point of sale (POS) system accurately.
• Process cash, card and mobile payments securely.
• Issue correct change, receipts and invoices.
• Reconcile cash at the end of each shift and balance the till.

3) Sales and Product Knowledge 

• Promote store specials, fuel deals and loyalty programs
• Assist with sales of convenience store items, carcare products and refreshments.
• Keep updated on current prices and promotions.
• Stock and Merchandising.
• Assist in restocking shelves and fridges as needed.
• Ensure products are neatly displayed and priced correctly.
• Report low stock or damaged to the supervisor or manager.
• Safety and Cleanliness
• Maintain cleanliness of the counter and work area.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards in the Fourcourt and store.
• Follow all safety procedures related to fuel handling and customer safety.

4) Team and communication

• Work cooperatively with Fourcourt attendants, supervisors and other staff.
• Communicate effectively about customer needs ,stock levels or operational issues.

Desired Experience & Qualification.

• Minimum 1 year experience in working as a cashier
• Have at least 2 references preferred
• Minimum age of applicant – 21 years old
• Minimum education level –  Grade 12
• Language requirement Speaks English fluently
