Accountant

A leading name in the hospitality industry, is looking for a technically strong Accountant to step into a high-impact role within one of their hotel operations. This is not a traditional reporting-only role -it’s an opportunity to be fully immersed in the financial function and make a real operational impact.

• Take full ownership of the accounting function within the hotel operation
• Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and corporate governance standards
• Manage and support junior finance staff where applicable
• Work closely with operational teams to support business decision-making
• Maintain accuracy and integrity across all financial records

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role OR as a Financial Controller within a hotel environment
• Strong full-function accounting experience (non-audit)
• Grade 12 (Matric) – relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. BCom Accounting) advantageous
• Solid working knowledge of Accpac or similar accounting systems
• Strong Excel and overall computer literacy
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines
• High level of integrity, accountability, and compliance focus
• Willingness to work overtime when required
