THE ROLE

We are looking for an exceptional Multimedia Design Intern to join the FIELDBAR Creative Commerce team. This is a hands-on, 6-month paid programme designed for high-agency creatives who want to work cross-functionally across our creative teams.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To support the Fieldbar creative team by delivering high-quality visual and digital assets, while gaining deep exposure to the full lifecycle of a premium lifestyle brand. The Design Intern reports to the Art Director.

SUCCESS OUTCOMES (FOR THE ROLE)

  • Design execution across digital (UI/UX) and physical (Packaging/Print) touchpoints is completed timeously and to a world-class standard.
  • Cross-functional collaboration is seamless; you move fluidly between marketing requests, e-com support, and creative brainstorming.
  • Brand consistency is strictly maintained, ensuring all published content and physical assets align with Fieldbar’s luxury branding & visual identity.
  • Operational and administrative tasks related to design are completed accurately, freeing up more senior team members to focus on strategic projects.
  • Ownership of work: You take great care to design and write within the brand’s tone as set out by the guidelines.
  • You constantly look for ways to help the creative commerce team do their jobs better.

COMPETENCIES – PROGRAMMES

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Ai, Ps, Id)
  • Figma (advantageous)
  • UI/UX and basic web design principles
  • Social media content creation
  • Video editing

COMPETENCIES – ROLE

  • Demonstrated academic ability in Graphic Design, UI/UX, or a related creative field.
  • Massive attention to detail; you notice every pixel and every die-line.
  • Technical Versatility: Proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite (Ai, Ps, Id) and Figma.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple design briefs simultaneously.
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma in Design/Multi-media).
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a mix of digital and physical design thinking.
  • 0–1 years’ work experience; this is a Graduate/Entry-level role.

THE PROGRAMME DETAILS

  • Type: 6-Month Paid Graduate Internship.

This is an ONSITE position, and you will be expected to come into our office in Woodstock, Cape Town. You will be expected to have your own transport and will be reimbursed for work-related mileage at the rates as set out by SARS.
