Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more accurate AI systems — and we need cloud security practitioners who know how cloud environments fail in the real world.
This is your opportunity to put your hands-on security experience to work on something bigger: helping frontier AI understand the nuances of cloud misconfigurations, IAM failures, and infrastructure vulnerabilities the way a seasoned engineer would.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, failure patterns, and real-world impact
- Review and evaluate IAM policies, networking configurations, storage permissions, and container security setups
- Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on blast radius and business risk
- Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
- Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes how AI models reason about cloud security
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
- Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts
- Familiarity with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they escalate
- Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and downstream business impact
- Strong written communication — you can explain complex security concepts clearly and concisely
Nice to Have
- Experience in cloud security engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure security
- Familiarity with security frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or CSA CCM
- Prior exposure to AI evaluation, red-teaming, or technical writing
