We’re hiring! Ackermans is seeking a Skills Development Manager to lead the delivery of a critical function that ensures compliance, supports funding, and enables capability building across the business.
You will drive the implementation of our Skills Development Strategy and ensure alignment with the National Skills Act, the B-BBEE Skills Development pillar, and the transition to QCTO-aligned occupational qualifications.
Bring your Training & Development expertise, strong knowledge of BBBEE and W&R SETA programmes, and the ability to coordinate complex Skills Development initiatives across multiple stakeholders in an evolving regulatory environment.

Job Related Knowledge & Skills Required
Essential:
- Knowledge of BBBEE priority element: Skills development
- Working knowledge of W&R SETA and its programmes
- Knowledge of the South African Qualifications Framework and classification of qualifications and institutions
- Understanding of the QCTO landscape and occupational qualification framework, including associated compliance requirements, learner pathways, and stakeholder coordination
SKILLS:
- Accreditation of skills and leadership programmes
- Application of legislative requirements applicable to learning and development
- Coordination of Skills Development initiatives within a complex regulatory environment (including QCTO-aligned processes)
- Full spectrum of learning and development processes
- Planning, organizing, monitoring and control
- Relationship management and influencing
- Financial analysis
- Detail orientation
Essential:
- 5 Years T&D related experience, including SDF and / or implementation of BBBEE requirements
Preferred:
- Retail experience
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential:
- 3 years HR / Training related degree/diploma
- Further qualification in ETDP field recommended
