About The Opportunity

A well-established mining group is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee multiple mining operations from a strategic head-office perspective. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, performance, safety, and profitability across the business.

The successful candidate will bring extensive mining industry experience and a proven track record of managing complex mining operations across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic operational oversight across multiple mining operations.
• Drive operational performance, productivity, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation, safety standards, and company policies.
• Monitor and improve production targets and operational efficiencies.
• Lead and support site management teams.
• Develop and implement operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage operational budgets and resource allocation.
• Report on operational performance to executive leadership.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Support long-term business growth and expansion initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Mining, Engineering, Metallurgical, or related qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' senior management experience within the mining sector.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple mining operations.
• Strong understanding of mining, processing, and production environments.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
• Willingness to travel between operations as required.
