Digital Content & Channel Specialist

Coronation Fund Managers

Coronation’s Institutional Business team manages relationships with some of the most sophisticated investors in South Africa and globally. This role exists to ensure that team’s presence, ideas, and expertise are translated into compelling, well-executed digital content; reaching the right audiences through the right channels, at the right time. The Digital Content & Channel Specialist is embedded within Institutional Business and serves as the primary interface between the team and the central marketing function. The role is responsible for driving the content agenda: identifying what needs to be said, to whom, and in what format and ensuring it gets made, reviewed, and distributed efficiently.

Note: Digital strategy, brand governance, and advertising strategy remain the responsibility of the marketing team. This role is designed to maximise the value of that centralised capability for Institutional Business.

Within twelve months, the successful candidate would be expected to ensure that the Institutional Business has a consistent, well-managed digital presence that reflects the quality of the team’s thinking. Content is planned, not reactive. The podcast’s pipeline is active and growing. The marketing team has what it needs to execute and the team’s ideas are reaching the right audience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Content Creation & Channel Coordination

  • Own the Institutional Business content pipeline; topics, formats, scheduling, and post-production coordination across podcasts, video, social media, thought leadership, and events.
  • Compile clear, well-informed content briefs tailored to specific channels and audiences, including repurposing existing material (reports, presentations, event recordings) into new formats.
  • Manage the review and sign-off process within Institutional Business, ensuring timely feedback and approvals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Institutional Business and the marketing team for all digital and content activity.

Audience & Channel Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Institutional Business audience; trustees, asset consultants, fund managers, and institutional allocators — and how they consume content.
  • Track performance data across channels and surface actionable insights to inform content decisions.
  • Stay current on how the institutional investment community engages with digital content globally and bring relevant recommendations on format and channel innovation.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to ensure implementation aligns with broader digital strategy.

Production Oversight & Logistics

  • Manage the podcast content pipeline end-to-end; topic development with internal stakeholders, guest scheduling, briefing, and post-production coordination with marketing.
  • Brief and coordinate videographers for thought leadership clips, event highlight reels, and other video content.
  • Coordinate event media coverage; brief the marketing team on logistics, requirements, and post-event content needs.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Consolidate and track digital performance metrics across all Institutional Business channels and content.
  • Translate analytics into business-relevant conclusions and present regular updates to guide resource allocation.
  • Identify content, channel gaps and recommend corrective action.
  • Stakeholder & Process Management:
  • Champion agreed processes for briefing, review, coordination, and approvals across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure a consistent and well-managed flow of information, ideas, and content across the team’s business activities and platforms.

Ideal Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in a content, digital, or channel management role, ideally within financial services or a related professional service environment.
  • Proven track record of managing content pipelines.
  • Experience working within or alongside a central marketing function.
  • Familiarity with the institutional investment landscape; an understanding of who the audience is and how they think is a significant advantage.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing/digital Marketing, Journalism or any related field.
