Forklift Sales

General Heavy Marine’s core business is container handling equipment, material handling equipment, and mining equipment. Over the last 10 years, we have positioned ourselves as the leading service provider.

We are seeking a well experienced Forklift Salesman to join our JHB branch.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in forklift / material handling equipment sales

• Currently active in sales with an existing, transferable client base

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

• Experience selling container handling equipment: Forklifts (diesel, electric)

• Strong ability to generate new business leads

• Ability to manage and grow an existing client portfolio

• Skilled in cold calling, site visits, and client presentations

• Ability to prepare and present professional quotations and proposals

• Strong negotiation and closing skills

• Understanding of profit margins and pricing structures

• Matric (Grade 12 or equivalent)

• Relevant qualification in Sales or business management (Advantageous)

• Valid driver’s license

• Own reliable vehicle

• Willing and able to travel extensively

• Computer literate (MS Office, CRM systems)

• Clear criminal record

• Technical Knowledge

• Good understanding of Forklift specifications (lifting capacity, mast types, attachments)

• Basic maintenance and service intervals

• Ability to conduct on-site assessments and recommend suitable equipment
