- Strategic leadership role responsible for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) across the Company.
- Drive quality strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to exceed customer expectations (quality, cost, delivery).
- Lead development and implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and SHEQ compliance frameworks.
- Partner with leadership to deliver best-in-class products, processes, and business performance.
- Develop and implement SHEQ strategy, policies, procedures, and systems aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across all divisions.
- Manage Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions to ensure product specifications, reliability, and standards are met.
- Oversee Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) compliance, policies, and behavioural safety culture.
- Conduct internal and external audits, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and manage certification requirements.
- Lead Non-Conformance (NCR) processes, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
- Monitor, analyse, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality performance metrics.
- Manage SHEQ budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure related to quality initiatives.
- Train, coach, and develop teams; implement ongoing SHEQ and quality training across the business.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure repeatable, cost-effective production.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, customer satisfaction, and resolution of complaints and quality issues.
- Lead teams, manage performance, and act as a catalyst for cultural change and continuous improvement.
- Relevant NQF Level 7 qualification (Industrial Engineering, Quality, SHEQ or related field).
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in SHEQ/Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
- ISO 9001:2015 knowledge and certification with strong audit experience (internal and external).
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of legal, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, including coaching and performance management.
- Experience managing budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and results-driven approach.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels and influence senior leadership.
- Experience in manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding) advantageous.
