SUMMARY

De Jagers is a well-established, family-owned South African retail group with a proud history dating back to 1955. From humble beginnings as an ambitious family-run menswear store in the Boland, the business has grown to approximately 50 branches across four provinces, offering men's and women's fashion as well as school wear.

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded finance professional to take ownership of our accounting processes while leading continuous system and process improvements across the finance function.

This role goes beyond traditional compliance and reporting responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening and modernising our financial infrastructure by applying best practices in financial planning, organisation, control, and governance. Through accurate financial reporting, analysis, and meaningful business insights, you will contribute directly to informed decision-making and the overall success of the business.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position offers the opportunity to be a trusted business partner, providing strategic financial support and contributing to the company's ongoing growth and performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• CA(SA) or similar recognised qualification
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience (post articles) within commercial finance
• Proficient in both Afrikaans and English
• Strong spreadsheet modelling and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
