SUMMARY

A highly experienced Solar & BESS Engineer is required to lead the design and delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects (1MW–10MW).

This role is suited to a seasoned engineer with strong expertise in solar PV and battery energy storage systems. You will take ownership of high-value projects, driving technical design, costings, and execution across utility-scale and commercial installations.

You will operate at a senior level, ensuring that complex energy systems are designed efficiently, delivered within budget, and executed to the highest technical standard.

Education

• BEng / BTech in Electrical Engineering or related field

Job Experience & Skills Required

• 5–6 years’ experience in solar PV and BESS projects
• Proven experience working on large-scale installations (1MW – 10MW)
• Strong capability in high-level system design and engineering calculations
• Experience with project costing, budgeting, and commercial inputs
• Solid understanding of grid-tied systems, inverters, and battery technologies
• Familiarity with design tools (PV*Sol, Helioscope or similar – advantageous)
• Strong project oversight and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-level design of solar PV and BESS systems
• Develop project costings, proposals, and technical solutions
• Oversee project execution from design through to commissioning
• Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with EPCs, contractors, and internal teams
• Monitor project performance, timelines, and budgets
• Provide technical leadership and support across projects
• Identify risks and drive solutions to ensure successful delivery
