SUMMARY

A hands-on Electrical Foreman is required to lead maintenance teams and drive plant reliability in a high-volume FMCG manufacturing environment.

Job & Company Description

This role is ideal for a strong, execution-driven leader who can take full ownership of electrical maintenance within a continuous production environment. You will manage a team of artisans, ensuring equipment availability, minimising downtime, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across the plant.

You’ll be responsible for driving preventative maintenance strategies, resolving breakdowns efficiently, and improving overall equipment reliability.

Education

• Grade 12
• N4 or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Recognised Electrical Trade Test (essential)

Job Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in FMCG plant electrical maintenance
• Experience in continuous manufacturing environments
• Strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience
• Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience (advantageous)
• Knowledge of OHS Act and relevant legislation
• Exposure to maintenance systems, procurement processes, and contractor management

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical artisans to ensure plant uptime
• Execute preventative maintenance and attend to breakdowns
• Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards
• Manage spare parts, suppliers, and external service providers
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and equipment reliability
• Coach and develop team members to enhance performance
