Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For
Pastry Creative
- Design and execute innovative desserts, pastries, and baked goods aligned with Mama’s lifestyle concept
- Bring bold creativity, seasonal inspiration, and visual impact to every plate
- Continuously evolve the pastry offering to stay fresh, exciting, and memorable
Execution & Precision
- Ensure consistent, high-quality production across all pastry items and service periods
- Maintain accuracy in presentation, portioning, and timing during service
- Support smooth delivery during high-volume and event-driven operations
Operational Control
- Manage pastry section costs, waste control, and stock usage effectively
- Ensure efficient prep planning to support restaurant and events demand
- Maintain organisation, cleanliness, and workflow discipline within the pastry section
Team Player & Supporter
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade to ensure seamless service
- Guide and support junior pastry staff with training and development
- Foster a calm, structured, and positive working environment
Collaboration Partner
- Align pastry offerings with restaurant menus, bar concepts, and special events
- Support activations, banquets, and themed experiences with tailored creations
- Work with FOH teams to ensure presentation and storytelling are delivered at the table
Standards Guardian
- Uphold Mama’s standards across hygiene, safety, consistency, and presentation
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP and kitchen procedures
- Maintain high attention to detail across every element of production
Experience Creator
- Turn desserts into moments of theatre, indulgence, and shareable experiences
- Bring creativity to plating, flavour combinations, and guest engagement
- Help position Mama as a destination for standout dining experiences
Qualifications

- You have strong pastry experience in high-volume, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality environments
- You are highly creative with a strong eye for detail, presentation, and flavour balance
- You are disciplined, organised, and strong in production planning
- You can manage pressure while maintaining consistency and quality during service
- You understand food cost control, waste management, and operational efficiency
- You are a hands-on pastry chef who leads through action and presence
- You are passionate about desserts, innovation, and guest experience
- You communicate well and collaborate effectively with kitchen and service teams
- You bring calm energy, structure, and creativity to every shift
