External Sales Representative

POSITION INFO

We are seeking an experienced and driven External Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, growing market share, maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving monthly sales and rental targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers.
  • Conduct customer visits, needs assessments, quotations, and follow-ups.
  • Recommend suitable products and solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Arrange and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Manage customer orders, invoicing, and back-order follow-ups.
  • Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Plan and execute weekly customer visits efficiently.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
  • Perform general sales administration and other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years'''' external sales experience.
  • Experience within the welding or industrial equipment industry is essential.
  • Valid Code 8 driver''''s licence.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, route management, and time management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
