Senior C++ Developer (Video Technology)

An exciting contract opportunity exists for a seasoned C++ Developer with a passion for media technology and real-time streaming systems. Our client develops advanced collaboration software used throughout the post-production industry, enabling creative professionals to review and share high-resolution content in real time.

• Develop and maintain desktop applications focused on video streaming and processing

• Enhance real-time collaboration features for media-intensive workflows

• Work extensively within a C++ and Qt development environment

• Support video capture, playback, encoding, and streaming capabilities

• Ensure seamless performance across macOS platforms

• Manage application distribution processes including packaging and release management

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

• 10+ years of commercial software development experience

• Advanced proficiency in C++

• Strong experience with the Qt framework

• Practical experience with WebRTC and GStreamer technologies

• Good understanding of media codecs, specifically H.264 and H.265

• Experience developing native macOS applications

• Knowledge of code signing, notarisation, deployment, and update management tools such as Sparkle

• Ability to thrive in a distributed remote team environment
