Audit Director / Partner

Our client, a well-established professional services firm based in Port Elizabeth, is seeking an experienced Audit Director / Partner to join their leadership team. This opportunity is suited to a commercially minded audit professional who is passionate about client service, business advisory, and practice leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing audit engagements, providing strategic guidance to clients, managing high-performing teams, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm.

• Leading and managing a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements

• Providing strategic advisory services to clients across a range of industries

• Managing and developing long-term client relationships

• Overseeing audit planning, execution, review, and sign-off processes

• Advising owner-managed businesses on financial, tax, and business matters

• Managing trust-related engagements and providing trust advisory services

• Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and standards

• Providing technical guidance on audit, accounting, and taxation matters

• Leading and mentoring audit managers, supervisors, and professional staff

• Identifying business development opportunities and contributing to practice growth

• Ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements

• Supporting strategic decision-making and operational excellence within the firm

• Registered Auditor (IRBA) – Essential

• CA(SA) qualification – Essential

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role within an audit firm

• Strong audit and assurance background

• Solid taxation knowledge and practical experience

• Experience working with trusts and owner-managed businesses

• Proven client consulting and advisory experience

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Commercially minded with strong business acumen

• Ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships

• Must be willing to be based in Port Elizabeth
