Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for general building maintenance, repairs, and ensuring all facilities are kept in good working condition.

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs
• Carry out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Conduct basic electrical repairs and fault finding
• Repair and maintain electric fencing systems
• Install, service, and repair motor gates and gate motors
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Troubleshoot faults and complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and clean condition

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in building maintenance
• Experience in:
  • Plumbing
  • Basic electrical work
  • General building repairs
• Experience with electric fencing and motor gate systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance-related faults
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Sober habits and strong work ethic
• Own reliable transport

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
