Senior Tax Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Administrator to join a dynamic and professional accounting firm. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong technical tax knowledge and experience in managing a diverse client portfolio within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely tax compliance services, providing expert support on SARS-related matters, and assisting clients with a wide range of tax requirements.

Preparation and submission of income tax returns and provisional tax computations across all tax types
Preparation of tax computations, including Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
Maintenance and administration of various tax types on SARS e-Filing
Management of a diverse client portfolio with full tax compliance responsibility
Handling tax and payroll compliance matters, including objections, disputes, registrations, and related queries
Managing SARS correspondence via e-Filing and attending SARS office visits when required
Attending to IT14SD and verification queries, including preparation of reconciliations
Preparation and submission of dividend tax returns
Handling Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) applications
Client engagement, consultations, and meetings
Drafting responses and compiling supporting documentation for SARS verification requests and audits (Income Tax, VAT including Customs, and PAYE)
Providing technical opinions on complex tax matters, conducting research, and offering tax advisory support.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar tax or accounting environment
Registration as a SARS Registered Tax Practitioner (advantageous)
Strong computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience with ProfSoft software (advantageous)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Own transport preferred, with a valid South African driver’s licence
