The role
Finance: Controlling and Reporting – Project Opus
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Management reporting and forecasting and key KPI’s
- Lead the monthly S&OP forecast cycle, ensuring accurate reporting
- Finance Compliance & Controllership
- Provide expert guidance on local statutory and regulatory finance requirements impacting key finance processes, including:
- Revenue recognition
- Tax compliance
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Financial reporting requirements
- Ensure local compliance requirements are accurately represented within the Project Opus design framework.
- Assess fit-to-standard global processes against local statutory requirements and identify gaps or required exceptions.
- Escalate finance-specific localisation requirements to the global design team where needed.
- Localisation & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the single point of contact for all finance-related localisation requests.
- Coordinate with local Finance SMEs and controllership teams to consolidate statutory and compliance requirements.
- Ensure alignment between local business needs and global process standards.
- Facilitate collaboration between local Finance teams, deployment teams, and global stakeholders.
- Testing & Deployment Support
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for finance and statutory processes.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) activities where required.
- Validate finance process compliance within system solutions.
- Support issue identification, resolution, and tracking during Hypercare.
- Ensure finance process defects and localisation issues are escalated and resolved appropriately.
- Governance & Risk Management
- Support finance governance and ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
- Identify statutory and regulatory risks associated with the deployment.
- Maintain documentation related to finance compliance decisions and localisation approvals.
- Align with the Wave Finance team on statutory and controllership decisions.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent Finance qualification.
- Strong understanding of local statutory and regulatory finance frameworks.
- Management Reporting and forecasting
- Proven experience in finance controlling, compliance, or statutory reporting roles.
- Experience with finance transformation, ERP implementation, or large-scale deployment projects preferred.
- SAP experience and familiarity with local finance systems advantageous.
- Experience participating in UAT/SIT testing cycles is desirable.
