This role plays a critical part in shaping how assets and inventory are deployed across South Africa, directly influencing capital efficiency, financial performance, and customer outcomes. As a key partner to local and regional leaders, you will turn data into insight and strategy into action.
What You Will Do
- Drive asset and inventory optimization across South Africa by partnering with Business Unit, Finance, and Supply Planning teams to improve capital efficiency and availability in the field.
- Analyse asset utilization, inventory levels, and return on investment, and deliver clear, data‑based recommendations on consignment levels, asset deployment, and capital investments.
- Own local governance and review processes, ensuring full compliance with financial controls, regulatory standards, and internal audit requirements.
- Manage the full asset lifecycle, including write‑offs, disposals, expiry management, product phase‑in and phase‑out activities, and lifecycle planning.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators related to assets and inventory, providing regular insights to local leadership to support decision‑making.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and Tender teams to align asset strategies with commercial priorities.
- Contribute to regional asset and inventory management initiatives by sharing local insights and implementing regional standards and best practices.
Required
What You Need
- Equivalent of University Degree/Diploma (NQF6)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in asset management, inventory management, or supply chain and planning roles.
- Fluency in English.
- Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems
Preferred
- Experience working in a matrixed, international organization.
- Previous experience within the healthcare industry
- People management experience
- Experience working with JD Edwards (JDE) ERP system
- Certification in Lean, continuous improvement, or project management methodologies.
Additional Information
- Work arrangement: Hybrid or office‑based, depending on business needs.
- Travel: Occasional domestic and/or regional travel may be required.
