The primary accountabilities will include
- Provision of accurate and timeous monthly management reports and budgetary control, applying data analytical tools and techniques to generate insights and effectively present information to support GSS PS decision-making
- Collaborate with GSS PS team members to ensure that reported measures and costs accurately reflect service line activities
- Monitor service line cost performance and proactively highlight risks, variances, and areas of concern, recommending corrective actions where required
- Provide end-to-end cost management support for GSS PS global teams, including monthly actuals, reforecasts, and annual budgeting processes
- Track and report against savings targets, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities for both direct and indirect savings
- Ensure completion of monthly commercial processes across all regions, including review of accruals, journals, reallocations, recharges, and labour costing to ensure accurate expenditure reporting
- Support capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, analysis, and reporting requirements
- Manage and monitor global headcount costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts
- Support the GSS PS Commercial Business Partner in the preparation of global reforecasts and annual budgets across all regions
- Support finance processes by ensuring monthly forecasts and outlooks for GSS PS are accurately prepared, submitted to finance in line with consolidation timelines to allow them to upload into SAP
- Monitor, analyse, and provide insights from activity-based costing and productivity analysis to support informed decision-making and drive operational efficiency
- Ensure that Service Change Requests (SCRs) are in place for all service line activities and changes, and provide costing for new services transitioning into GSS PS
- Coordinate with Service Line leads regarding purchase requisitions (PRs) and manage vendor invoice processes for GSS PS
- Support the GSS PS Commercial Business Partner in maintaining effective risk, compliance, and control frameworks, including Risk Matrix, Business Continuity Plans, incident management, SOX, and POPIA requirements.

- Monitor the work of each team member and provide regular and useful feedback to them on how they are performing
- Drive delivery of objectives holding team members to account for their work
- Participate as an effective team member in collaborating with your leader, peers and relevant others (including from other teams) to achieve business goals
- Monitor the activities of your team which involve other teams and appropriately intervene to address any cross-team issues.
Financial
- Contribute to the development of the budget
- Monitor your costs against budget and either address, or advise your manager of, any variances of note
- Identify any opportunities for improved cost management and either address these, or raise them with your manager, as appropriate.
Work Processes
- Fully understand the policies, processes and systems which apply to your team’s work and provide leadership so that your team works within these
- Identify any issues around these that interfere with the ability of your team to complete work or meet the plan/strategy. For processes within your authority, make the required changes. For others, escalate these issues to seek action and / or look for alternative solutions.
Qualifications
- A relevant Bachelor degree qualification with a formal accounting/finance qualification e.g. CIMA, CMA.
EXPERIENCE
- 3 years previous experience in management accounting support for a large multinational or global business
- Good operational experience or knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
- Understand stakeholder requirements for new cost reporting requests and advise on best practice approaches to report development
