System Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a specialised

Atlassian Systems Engineer / Consultant to design, architect, and optimise enterprise-scale Atlassian ecosystems for our clients. Operating in an advisory and technical capacity, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and deep technical customisation, driving high-impact migrations, automations, and modern workflow implementations.

What You'll Do

• Architect & Advise: Provide technical pre-sales support and architecture advice; conduct cost-benefit analyses for Cloud vs. Data Centre migrations.
• Deploy & Customise: Design, configure, and deploy Atlassian applications, marketplace integrations, and complex custom enhancements.
• Automate: Build advanced workflows and scripts using Groovy, JavaScript, Python, and Script Runner.
• Modernise: Implement cutting-edge Atlassian Intelligence (AI) features and optimize agile tooling.
• Deliver: Partner with client stakeholders to define system requirements, deliver health checks, and manage change enablement.

What You Bring

• Consulting DNA: Proven experience delivering client-facing solutions within a professional services or consulting environment.
• Atlassian Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Atlassian Cloud and Data Centre models, backed by 3+ recent migration/deployment projects.
• Mandatory Certification: Current Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) status.
• Agile & SAFe: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies; familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is highly beneficial.
• Code & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Script Runner, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript for custom automation.
• Education: Relevant tertiary qualification (Commerce, Computer Science, or Engineering).
