Assistant Accountant / Junior Cost Accountant

We are seeking a finance professional with strong costing experience to support the Financial Manager. The role involves preparing balance sheet reconciliations, managing monthly reporting updates, and ensuring all financial deadlines are met. Depending on experience, there may be scope to coordinate finance team activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Compile monthly financial reporting packs and updates
• Apply costing principles within a manufacturing environment
• Support cost accounting processes and provide analysis for management
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and internal controls
• Provide clear, accurate updates to the Financial Manager

Requirements

• BCom degree (Accounting/Finance) or equivalent qualification
• 2–4 years’ experience in bookkeeping or junior cost accounting
• Proven costing experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
• Strong understanding of manufacturing finance processes
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
