Linux Infrastructure Specialist

You'll join a team dedicated to building and maintaining robust, high-availability Linux solutions — delivering frameworks that are resilient, encrypted, and secure for critical production environments and applications worldwide.

This role demands deep expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems (SUSE, Red Hat), alongside hands-on experience with Ansible Automation and Rudder or comparable automation tooling.

• Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux clients, servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions.
• Apply system updates, patches, and security fixes as part of routine maintenance.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Support compliance with security standards and company policies.
• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure, as well as implement security controls and compliance requirements
• Track and update Jira user stories to ensure due dates are met
• Assist to ensure stability of systems and adherence of the team to Group’s Operations standards. Ensure quality and up to date content of the knowledge base for the sub-product
• Manage Problem, Incident and Change process for dedicated ITSM service
• Willing to do standby and work on weekends if needed
• Keep documentation up to date in all relevant systems (e. g. as is configuration CMDB/Application Instance Wizard, to be configuration Connect IT, knowledge database resolveIT)
• Attend and moderate operation meetings

• Any Linux certification such as RHCSA (advantageous)
• Ansible certification - RHCE (ex294/ex407) (advantageous)
• Minimum of 8 years of IT operations, configuration management and automation experience

Non-negotiable skills needed for the role

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating systems (SUSE, Redhat).
• Deep experience in Ansible Automation and Rudder or similar Automation tools.
• Deep experience in shell scripting (Bash / Perl / Python).
• Deep experience of GitHub and GitOps repositories.
• Knowledge of High Availability systems including Veritas Infoscale and Rudder.
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools (Grafana or similar) and backup solutions.
• Deep experience of secure coding practices and config as code.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, SSH, TCP/IP) and proxy configuration.
