We are looking for a driven, talented, creative and focused individual to join our Business Development team in Cape Town to help continue to grow our business in South Africa.

The position is based in Cape Town, but you’ll be expected to travel to Jhb and Durban for client meetings.

Working alongside a number of local and global Business Developers you will be responsible for maximizing the revenue potential of the business’s key assets, the 3rd Party branded advertising processes and social platforms, across a number of media and channels.

A team player, you will consistently be proactive in developing new business opportunities by prospecting new Customers and also developing, managing and further mining existing Customer relationships to promote our brands to ‘must buy’ status.

You will reach and exceed the sales goals and all other targets set by the Business Director in South Africa. You’ll take our currently high levels of customer service to a new level.

Minimum

Qualifications and Experience

  • Varsity degree.
  • First and foremost you are an ‘award-winning’ frontline sales person with at least 5 years’ proven experience. You also have had at least 5 years in media, branding, marketing, TV or advertising.
  • You will possess first class knowledge of the strengths and benefits of the various advertising and media platforms for FMCG brands.

Skills and Abilities

  • You are a master at persuasive communication (verbal and written), with an ability to effectively sell TV and social media campaigns.
  • You’ve a proven ability to thrive and be productive under pressure.
  • You are able to think and plan strategically…and have excellent relationship skills.

Character and Personal Qualities

  • An experienced, creative, expressive and engaging business development professional, you must have energy and passion along with an ability to build and nurture relationships.
  • You’re self-driven, self-starter, independent and able to function in a fairly unstructured environment.
  • You’re ambitious, goal and target-oriented with the drive and self motivation required to compete in a highly competitive and fast paced industry.
  • You’re not scared of cold calling.

Remuneration

A monthly basic salary plus a Commission structure provide an opportunity to earn a salary which will be commensurate with your experience as a business development marketing professional.
