MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The primary objective of the role is to ensure the effective maintenance of equipment, as well as the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure. The role is responsible for ensuring that facilities, layouts, and machinery used in the manufacturing of new and existing products operate at ??ximum efficiency and deliver optimal output. This includes implementing total preventive maintenance plans, maintanance shutdown and managing electrical and mechanical equipment breakdowns across the site.

Duties and Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the completion of the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on all electrical equipment.

Manage electrical, facility and maintenance projects on site

Adhere to daily and weekly checks on all electrical equipment and generator to ensure smooth operation of site.

Optimize electrical equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Ensure routine maintenance requirements of electrical and systems are undertaken.

Installing wiring, circuit breakers, conduits and electrical components including outlets and lighting fixtures

Use testing devices like Voltmeter, Ammeters and Thermal scanners to identify hazards and fix electrical issues.

Ensure that designated buildings, plants and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required

Participate in performing root cause analysis and resolving electrical, facility and maintenance problems.

Perform 5S at maintenance workshop

Perform stock take of critical equipment & maintenance spares.

Assist with the completion of any project tasked by the Maintenance Manager.

Installing new electrical components and machinery, adhering to safety protocols and site standards.

Ensuring all work meets safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Maintaining records of maintenance and repairs

Assist with management of maintenance and electrical suppliers

Plan, participate and execute maintenance shutdown.
