Design Technology Teacher role includes teaching

Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach Product Design, Engineering or Resistant Materials depending on experience.

Design Technology is a valued subject within the school, with well used workshop facilities and a curriculum that encourages creativity, innovation and practical problem solving.

Students respond well to practical learning and enjoy seeing projects develop from initial design concepts through to completed products. The department is collaborative, supportive and committed to maintaining high quality practical education.

Design Technology Teacher Role

• Teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4
• Product Design, Engineering or Resistant Materials welcomed
• Supporting GCSE Design Technology outcomes
• Delivering practical and theory-based Design Technology lessons
• Working within a collaborative DT department

The Successful Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design or related subject
• Strong practical and classroom teaching skills
• Ability to teach Design Technology at KS3 and KS4
• ECTs and experienced teachers welcome
