SUMMARY

Stunning Lodge is looking for a SEASONAL CHEF

POSITION INFO

Seeking an experienced and independent chef to manage evening dinner service during the Namaqualand flower season.

Contractual Period: 1 August 2026 to 20 September 2026.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and preparing buffet-style dinners for up to 34 guests
  • Preparing one main meal with accompaniments and one dessert daily
  • Menu planning and food preparation
  • Catering for dietary requirements
  • Preparation of packed lunches for guests when required
  • Buffet setup, service, and kitchen cleanup
  • Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
  • Assisting with stock control and minimising food waste
  • Operating independently within the lodge kitchen

Working Hours:

  • Approximately 13:00 – 22:00 daily
  • Includes preparation, service, and cleanup (Help will however be provided with cleanup)
  • Lunch pack preparation may be required based on guest requirements and tour schedules
  • Weekend and public holiday work required
