POSITION INFO

Join a well-established and innovative player in the payments space, focused on delivering secure, reliable transaction processing solutions. This role offers exposure to complex, high-volume systems and the opportunity to work with modern technologies in a collaborative, Agile environment.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing critical systems while contributing to continuous improvement in development practices. This role also provides the opportunity to mentor junior developers and play a key role in shaping technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical integration of new clients into systems
• Develop, test, and maintain existing and new system functionality
• Perform bug fixes, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance
• Design and implement new features and capabilities
• Provide third-line support and resolve complex technical queries
• Ensure system security, compliance, and audit readiness
• Continuously improve development processes and best practices
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical leadership

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Software Development, Computer Science, or Engineering
• 8+ years’ development experience in enterprise environments
• Strong experience in:
• Java (Standard & Enterprise Editions)
• Spring Boot
• SQL (MS SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
• Experience with development tools and workflows:
• Eclipse / NetBeans IDEs
• Maven
• Git
• Experience working in a continuous integration and testing environment
• Understanding of OpenAPI protocols

Advantageous Skills

• Exposure to financial transaction processing systems
• Experience with high-volume, real-time, multi-threaded systems
• Postilion development experience (source/sink node development)
• Experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum / Kanban)
• Front-end development experience using Angular
